The voting will close at midnight on April 4, and the new board will be announced Thursday, April 5! They will be introduced at the general UPSA meeting and peer-to-peer advising on April 5, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Jersey Conference Room. At 6:30 p.m. we will head to Botanica Bar (47 E. Houston St.) to chat with the new board, socialize, and celebrate spring!

Come out to the UPSA Peer-to-Peer Internship Mixer

Sip wine and chat with students and alums who have held planning-related internships around the city and the nation! Get tips, hear about different experiences, and make some valuable connections. We will have planners who have interned in housing, economic development, Mayors’ offices, federal and city government agencies, parks, arts, transportation and research! Learn how some have leveraged internships into full-time positions.

We even have alums who are currently looking to hire fall interns – so have your elevator speech ready!

Wine and snacks will be served. We would appreciate your RSVPs so we can purchase refreshments accordingly.

Join UPSA for a trip to Frightfest at Six Flags!

Saturday, October 15th
We will meet at 1:45pm outside of the Heartland Brewery on the west side of 8th Ave. and 41st St.
Round-trip bus and park admission is $62. The return bus leaves the park at 10pm.

Seeking First Year Reps!

The Urban Planning Student Association (UPSA) is looking for a 1st-Year Representative to be part of our Executive Board! This is an opportunity for a new incoming student to join the UPSA Board, and help make an impact at Wagner.  The 1st-Year Representative will have the opportunity to create programming and work closely with faculty to help make the planning program even better.

Representative Responsibilities:

  • Work with the UPSA Board to develop programming ideas for lectures, events, field trips, panel discussions, etc.
  • Plan, promote and host at least one event in the Fall and Spring.
  • Develop relationships with other student organizations at Wagner and in the greater NYU community.
  • Organize and coordinate fellow 1st-year students to determine their academic and programming needs.
  • Attend monthly meetings with the UPSA Executive Board.

Welcome back from the Urban Planning Students Association (UPSA)!

UPSA welcomes all new and continuing students to Wagner. This year promises to be filled with many great events, lectures, and memories.

The Urban Planning Student Association (UPSA) is a student-run organization whose mission is to help students develop a deeper appreciation and understanding of various planning issues. We provide quality lectures and programming which reflect the interests of students while introducing them to new ideas about urbanism. UPSA also strives to improve and raise the profile of Wagner’s Urban Planning Program within the school and among other planning schools. UPSA welcomes all students to participate in the organization, and seeks to collaborate with other student groups to provide the best possible opportunities for all Wagner Students

Picnic in the Park

NOON to 2pm (we moved up the time to accomodate the incoming student scavenger hunt) Washington Square Park in front of Bobst Library.
In our final event of our Back to Skool Countdown, join all the members of the planning community at Wagner for a casual get together. Bring a sandwich for yourself or more to share. We will be on a blanket with the UPSA flag flying overhead.
