The event features Charles A. Setchell, Senior Shelter, Settlements, and Hazard Mitigation Advisor of USAID Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance.
Mr. Setchell has 35 years of experience in managing the process of physical, social, and economic change, both in the U.S. and abroad. He has helped respond to all major international disasters/crises since his arrival at OFDA in 1998, designing and implementing shelter and settlements projects and disaster risk reduction (DRR) activities in numerous countries. Moreover, he holds the unofficial title of “Shelter Guru.”
